Project summary
The objective of this project was to implement a serverless architecture leveraging AWS Lambda for scalable backend operations, setting up API Gateway for efficient API management, integrating RDS Aurora for robust database handling, and utilizing S3 for effective file storage. This technical approach aimed to create a high-performing SaaS platform that enables seamless donation processes and efficient management of charity needs, aligning with the project's technical objectives.

The primary challenge was to ensure scalability to handle varying user traffic and donation volumes, while effectively integrating multiple AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, RDS Aurora, and S3. Additionally, we prioritized robust security measures and performance optimization to deliver an intuitive user experience for Force For Good (FFG) in their charitable giving platform.

Strategically utilized AWS API Gateway to manage APIs effectively, ensuring seamless integration & communication across the SaaS platform, thereby, facilitating secure and scalable API interactions, significantly enhancing the platform's reliability, flexibility, and overall performance.
Leveraged AWS RDS Aurora to establish a robust and scalable database solution, ensuring high availability, durability, and performance for storing critical charity, donor, and transaction data, thereby maintaining data integrity and enabling efficient query processing.
AWS S3 served as the reliable, scalable, and low-latency file storage solution for Force for Good's SaaS platform, enabling secure storage and retrieval of files, including images and documents associated with charity initiatives and donor activities.
Focused on developing a user-friendly interface that facilitated easy navigation, streamlined donation processes, and encouraged engagement with charity initiatives, designed to be intuitive, responsive, and accessible across various devices, thereby enhancing user experience.
Built a web-based admin panel for charity administrators, empowering them with tools to manage user accounts, monitor platform activities, respond to inquiries, oversee donation campaigns, and gain insights through analytics, facilitating informed decision-making and efficient platform management.
